
Xsilva @ Macworld 2008
Xsilva Systems, Inc. made a splash at Macworld Conference & Expo 2008 with its largest presence ever: an 18 foot high 20 foot x 20 foot booth in the Moscone South Hall and two days of special training and networking events for LightSpeed resellers.
The 2008 Xsilva booth featured Xsilva team members working side by side with LightSpeed resellers, demonstrating an updated version of LightSpeed 2.5 to packed crowds on touch-enabled Mac point of sale stations provided by partner Troll Touch.
“We recently released LightSpeed 2.5, which leveraged Leopard and iPhone to bring Point of Sale on the Mac to an exciting new level,” said Xsilva CEO, Dax Dasilva. “Now we're taking advantage of touchscreen technology to simplify retail sales in the LightSpeed browser and POS screen, and by expanding LightSpeed's use of Cover Flow."

LightSpeed Day Camp 2008
Xsilva Systems, Inc. demonstrated its strong commitment to its channel partners at the second annual LightSpeed Day Camp and first-ever Xsilva Cocktail Party, held on the Sunday and Monday before the opening of Macworld Conference & Expo 2008.
The LightSpeed Day Camp was an opportunity for LightSpeed resellers to be trained on the very latest in LightSpeed 2.5 Point of Sale technologies, hear presentations by special guest speakers, and meet the Xsilva team. A further networking opportunity was presented at the Xsilva Cocktail Party, held at Cha-Am Thai restaurant, where hundreds of Xsilva resellers and partners as well as media came together to kick off their week at Macworld Expo.
“Xsilva had a very strong year of growth, and we have our resellers and partners to thank for their success in promoting LightSpeed POS to retail and small business customers,” said Xsilva CEO, Dax Dasilva. “We hope our Macworld events give them the knowledge and contacts needed to get a great start in 2008 with LightSpeed.”
The resellers, from as far away as Peru, the Phillipines, and India, as well as from across Canada and the U.S., came together at LightSpeed reseller Create More for Day Camp to hear six sessions presented on various LightSpeed topics, as well as hear special presentations by RAGE Software on their web optimization software suite and Axia merchant services.
A special session was also presented on the Daylite-LightSpeed Connector, which made its debut at Macworld during the Expo. The highly-anticipated Connector bridges Daylite, the popular productivity manager from Marketcircle, and LightSpeed to create the optimal retail and business sales system by introducing powerful lead management into the LightSpeed workflow.

Xsilva's Macworld Cocktail Party
The evening Xsilva held at Cha'am Thai Restaurant on Monday the 14th of January was a great success, thanks to the 160+ resellers and friends who dropped in and lent the evening a lively, unforgettable atmosphere. Whether it was networking with Mac-minded business people from across the continent or enjoying an icy vodka shot dispensed from the LightSpeed ice-sculpture, everyone present agreed it was a very special night.
